Think of a huge orchestra and a massive symphonic choir intertwined with powerful riffs and enchanting melodies from a clear and passionate feminine voice, and you'll get an idea of what WHYZDOM have managed to create. Their classical influences ranging from the romantic to the contemporary period, as well as the appealing melodies that drive the songs, make their sound utterly unmistakeable in an ever growing scene.
The project was founded by guitarist and orchestrator Vynce Leff in early 2007, already well known in the progressive sphere having produced several successful albums for the British label Cyclops Records. After recruiting the band members, a first EP "Daughter Of The Night" was recorded less than 6 months from the band's inception. It got instant acclaim from reviewers and music fans around the world, as well as several awards and plaudits (Best French Band 2008 - Metalsymphonique.com, Best EP - HeavyLaw.com, etc).
Although still a young band, WHYZDOM were invited to play in several festivals in France - most of the time as headliner - and won the Metal Female Voices Fest Contest in Belgium in October 2008. They played in the 7th edition of this great Festival and also played as official support to DELAIN to launch their début album in 2009, released by the british label ASCENDANCE RECORDS.
In June 2010, WHYZDOM lead vocalist left the band. Lisa Middelhauve, former XANDRIA singer, accepted to be "guest lead vocalist" for the band performance at the RAISMES FEST 2010 and for their concert in PARIS as support for TARJA.
Since then the band composed and recorded their new album "BLIND?" which was released on 30th October 2012 by the great European Metal label SCARLET RECORDS.
Marie Rouyer became their new front woman in January 2013 and recorded WHYZDOM third album in 2014. "Symphony For A Hopeless God was released in February 2015.
They will play at several great european festivals in 2015 :

Le projet de métal symphonique Whyzdom est créé début 2007 à Paris, France par Vynce Leff, déjà connu dans de la scène progressive pour avoir signé plusieurs albums sur le label anglais CYCLOPS RECORDS
Après le recrutement des musiciens du groupe, le premier EP "Daughter Of The Night" est enregistré en moins de 6 mois et reçoit immédiatement des chroniques élogieuses et plusieurs prix (Best French Band 2008 - Metalsymphonique.com, Best EP - HeavyLaw.com)
Mars 2008 voit la signature de Whyzdom sur le label anglais ASCENDANCE RECORDS, spécialisé dans le métal à chant féminin.

Ils partagent aussi une première scène avec DELAIN à Paris en Avril 2009,
et assurent la première partie de la tournée de DELAIN du 2 au 8 Octobre 2009 à :

avant de se produire sur la scène du MFVF VII
La sortie (Septembre 2009) de leur Album From The Brink Of Infinity est considéré comme l'évènement le plus attendu par le monde du Metal Symphonique en 2009. Award 2008 "Meilleur Groupe des Pays Francophones" de Metal Symphonique.
Cet Album, annoncé par un trailer , est donc particulièrement bien accueilli dès sa sortie le 21 Septembre 2009.
En juin 2010, la chanteuse quitte le groupe. Lisa Middelhauve, ancienne chanteuse du groupe allemand XANDRIA, accepte d'être "chanteuse lead invitée" pour le concert de WHYZDOM au RAISMES FEST 2010 puis à leur concert au BATACLAN, en première partie de TARJA.
Depuis, le groupe a composé et enregistré son nouvel album "BLIND?", sorti le 30 octobre sur un des plus importants labels métal européens : SCARLET RECORDS. C'est Marie Rouyer qui en devient la front woman à partir de janvier 2013.
Ils enregistrent leur 3ème album en 2014. "Symphony For A Hopeless God" sort en Février 2015. Ils sont déjà invités à jouer dans les plus grands festivals européens :
